Days Payable Outstanding (DPO)

The average number of days a company takes to pay its suppliers.

DPO measures how long, on average, a business takes to settle its payables. A higher DPO preserves cash longer, but paying too late can forfeit discounts and strain vendor relationships. AP automation gives finance the control to optimize DPO deliberately.
