Accounts Payable (AP)
The money a business owes its suppliers for goods and services purchased on credit.
Accounts payable is the short-term liability a company records when it receives goods or services before paying for them. The AP team manages the full lifecycle — receiving invoices, matching them to purchase orders, securing approvals, and issuing payment — while keeping the general ledger accurate.
